- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆After arriving from France at 1330 on Thursday 19th May on a ship that was only a third full with no trucks due to industrial action by Brittany Ferries workers, it took nearly 45 minutes from disembarking to reaching the immigration control. I could see the immigration officer going in and out of his kiosk to check the interior of vehicles even though this had been done in Ouisterham before sailing. On arrival a surly immigration officer (arent they all?) asked if we had checked the caravan I was towing was locked. We assured him we had checked and it was but he didnt take our word and insisted on checking it himself. I was asking myself why he, as an immigration officer needed to do this. Just past the control were a bunch of seemingly very bored Police officers who just stood there who could have carried out the searches. In short a totally shambolic disembarkation which took nearly an hour and did nothing to enhance the reputation of the Border Agency.By Admin, February 07, 2019
